What we do

PTX Architects was founded by architects Melanie Hoessle and David Gibson; we both lived and worked in Melbourne and Europe before settling in Denmark in 2008.
Our practice has experience in residential, community, tourism, civic, heritage and multi-residential architecture projects, and the skills and knowledge required to deliver other project types.
We excel in two key areas – upfront connection to site and landscape, and back-end technical knowledge and expertise.

We optimise our clients’ experience of the entire process, from concept design and approvals, to engaging the right builder, and construction and handover.

PTX is highly attuned to our clients’ budget requirements and local building and construction pricing sensitivities.
Because we are highly skilled in 3D design and problem solving, our clients can easily understand our design concepts before they are built on site.
We provide clear and strong direction about the most suitable design response, and guide our clients through what can be a complex and time-consuming journey.

We design for optimum energy efficiency, maximum sustainability and low carbon lifestyles.
PTX draws upon both Passive House and Active House standards, as appropriate for each site and building type.
We minimise the carbon footprint of our projects, and offset unavoidable emissions by planting trees in the Gondwana link.
