Our Practice

PTX Architects was co-founded in 2006 by David Gibson and Melanie Hoessle, after years of working for award-winning architectural practices in London, Germany, Melbourne and Perth.

In 2008 we relocated our studio to Denmark, on WA’s picturesque south coast. With deep roots in the local community, we have built our philosophy on a reverence for place, and the importance of finding harmonies between our client’s needs and the landscape they live in.

We specialise in creating bespoke residential,  public and commercial architecture that reflects and responds to the landscape around it. Our clients range from individuals and families to large commercial and community organisations. We have particular experience in helping community organisations realise a vision by taking a project from a master-planning/ visualisation stage through detailed design & documentation stages to the completion of construction.

Our work is inspired by the diversity of the local environments of the South Coast and South West regions of WA. We have provided services on award winning projects from the Margaret River region through to Albany and currently have projects under construction in the remote locations of Walpole and Bow Bridge
