Eden Rd Residence

A highly complex site, Eden Rd Residence balances bushfire, cliff stability, high wind and environmental considerations. Sited close to the cliff face of the Nullaki Peninsula near Denmark, the holiday house is a coastal retreat for family and guests. Nestled into the landscape, a face brick envelope stands strongly against the rugged elements. A curved form softens to structural approach. Floor to ceiling glazing captures the expansive views of the Southern Ocean and invites connection to passing whale migration. A courtyard protected from the prevailing winds is a sanctuary for quiet contemplation of the coastal vegetation and native wildlife. The project is anticipated for completion in 2026.
